Shandon Jude Herft

ABOUT

Shandon Jude Herft is an Indian Computational Designer based in the United States. He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Architecture and a Master's in Construction Management from Illinois Institute of Technology. He is currently situated at CodeLab at Carnegie Mellon University.

Currently, Shandon works as a Research Assistant with Professor Joshua Bard in the Design Fabrication Lab. His research focuses on creating custom scripts and workflows for robotic binder jetting using building waste materials.

His interests include Robotics, and Virtual Reality. His thesis focuses on developing a bidirectional interaction framework that connects Grasshopper, RobotStudio, Unity, and the Meta Quest 3.

Shandon has worked with some of the world’s most renowned architecture firms, including KPF as a Computational Design Intern. Other notable experiences include working at Gensler, PALMA, and SOBHA.
